Ganesha comes every year. ...and with "agle baras tu jaldi aa" wish the Ganesh pooja comes to an end.
BUT where exactly the Ganesha goes?
The saviour of the world, the vighnaharta is indeed forgotten by the devotees. They will mostly remember him only during the next Vinayaka Chaturthi, when the bhakti can be publicly exhibited.
While I was admiring the craftsmanship of a few working on the huge idols, I couldn't help but locate lot of broken or unsold idols lying here and there.
The God who couldn't be sold was neglected. I felt bad. Whatever may be the faith, the faith can not be put to dust...
I request the authorities (if at all this is read by them), to identify the numbers of idols required per year and only that many should be made and distributed. Thus we will help in strengthening our eco-system, reduce soil pollution and the most of all..., not let the idols of faith lie unattended.
While we may forget the Ganesha and wonder where he goes after the visarjan?
I discovered that Ganesha returns to his parents Shiva & Parvathi and along with them keeps a watchful eyes on his creations.
Even though people may forget them for a year, but they, the Gods, don't forget their followers. They protect their devotees where ever they are.
I saw them protecting, did you?
